Lizards and puppies!

Hey guys! This week was busy, as always.

On Tuesday, we went and helped this lady in her yard. There were these tiny little lizards that were adorable! We went on exchanges, Sister Lunt was with me in my area. We went to a members house for a short lesson and I got to hold their adorable puppies!!
Wednesday was busy! We had a lesson with our friend Mandy and she wants to move her baptism date up! We also met with a new member. We then had our area flood. We had 4 other companionships come into our area and we hit probably every neighborhood and apartment complex in our area for 3 hours. It was crazy! We got 10 numbers and several people said we could come back!
On Thursday, we had a member message, then met up with the other sisters to exchange back. We had a really cool lesson over the phone with this guy who had made a terrible mistake in his past and was looking for some peace. We went over to this awesome members house for dinner.
Friday was good. We went and visited a few people. We had a fun member dinner! Then we had a wild lesson with Sam, a guy who just got baptized.
Saturday was good. We had a fun lesson with this lady named Matilda. She's a cute old lady from Scotland and goes by Tilly. We did some weekly planning, then went to the sisters to drive their friend's baptism. A pipe broke at the stake center so it didn't have water for 2 days so they had to move the baptism to the next closest building with a font, which is 30 minutes away. The lady was someone Sister Linares, my comp, had taught in another ward here in Klamath so we went to it. We went early to set up and stayed late to clean up. We all went to dinner at a members house in 1st ward. She is so fun!
Sunday was fun! I got to play the organ for the church meeting. We visited a few people, then had dinner with our bishops family We played a game called Farkle and I won last minute! We had a good time!
Transfers happen this week! We find out Tuesday night at 8, then we leave on Wednesday morning. And we won't find out where we are going or with who. We just find out if we are leaving. Kinda crazy! So who knows where I end up.
This week I finished the Book of Mormon for the first time since coming out on my mission. It has been so cool to see my own testimony grow. I know the Book of Mormon is true and is full of so many amazing teachings!
I made it a goal to read through the whole Bible on my mission. I'm currently in Deuteronomy and it has some awesome verses! Heres my favorite for the week: Deuteronomy 14:2
“For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God, and the Lord hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.”
I hope you all have a fantastic week and are able to see the Lord's hand in your life!

Pulled over…🚓

Hey guys! This week was busy and crazy.

On Tuesday, we went to Eugene. The drive was nice! MLC was interesting. President made more changes. Instead of going to MLC twice a transfer, one will be in person, one will be over zoom.
Wednesday, we were on exchanges. Thursday and Friday, we parked in our area, then walked around to a ton of houses. The weather has been so nice! I've had so many comments that it looks like I've gotten some sun. I got a lecture about skin cancer. We had a ton of cool miracles, lots of tender mercies of people willing to let us in and talk with them! We also went to a relief society party and it was a blast!
On Friday, we had a wacky afternoon. So we asked some members to drive us to a lesson and to join the lesson. As we were driving to the lesson, the member got pulled over!! It was a school zone and they weren't paying attention. Luckily the cop just gave them a warning. Then, when we got to this guys house, his grandma came out and told us he had just taken off on his skateboard. This guy is in his 30s. Our member was like, lets go find him, so we got back in the car and drove around the neighborhood till we found him. We met him back at his house, then stood outside for 30 minutes because I guess his grandma was mad at him. So we never got to do a lesson with him. But it was a good time with him!
This upcoming week is going to be busy! We have 4 other companionships coming into our area to “flood” it. Hopefully we can find more people to teach!
Hope you all have a fantastic week! I listened to an awesome talk this week called Songs Sung and Unsung by Elder Jeffrey R Holland. It really emphasizes how we are all unique by design. Heavenly Father needs each of us and our different abilities! He loves us all! Don't forget how important you are to our Heavenly Father!

7 months already??

Hey guys This week was busy but good!

On Tuesday, we had interviews with President. I went first! He told me that an Elder I had served in Corvallis thought very highly of me. He also told me that there are 20 sisters coming in the next 3 transfers. That is so exciting!! He said I would be training trainers.
On Wednesday, I was with Sister Tippetts in her area. We were on exchanges, again. It was pretty good! We visited lots of people!
On Thursday, we knocked on some doors, had several good lessons, and an early dinner with a super fun member family. We went over to a ladys house that we are teaching and swept and mopped her floors. We changed and went to volleyball. A friend came and it was awesome!
On Friday was a day of lessons. We had a lesson with a new member, then got frozen yogurt with a friend, had a lesson with a less engaged member, then 2 nonmember lessons. We got dinner at subway because we were so tired.
Saturday was fun! We had a lesson with a new member and her grandkids. We played some basketball with the kids. We did weekly planning at the library!
This past week but full of so many little miracles! So many lessons with people who are ready to hear the gospel! I hope you all look for the tiny miracles every day! Love you all!

Snow… in April

Hey guys! This week was busy but good!

On Tuesday, we had some super awesome lessons! We are helping our new members grow more in the gospel.
On Wednesday, we did a ton of door knocking on people we had records for. We had some very interesting conversations. One lady said she was a trained killer and married to a terrorists. I think she was mentally not all there. We also had a guy answer and he was soooo high! It was crazy! We smelled the weed as soon as he opened the door. We laughed so hard afterwards because he was just so funny!
On Thursday, we met up with the sisters to drive over to Medford for Zone Conference. Zone conference was good! President made some interesting changes to the mission. For transfers, we will no longer know where we are going and with who until it actually happens. President is trying to prevent rumors and preconceptions of areas and people. So definitely interesting. I'm curious to see how transfers go. He also moved District council to Monday nights after pday. Pday ends at 6pm and DC starts at 6pm. DC was usually on Fridays. I think President is trying to make our days more productive and efficient. We stopped at chickfila on the way home.
Friday was the last District council and NMT. We did a scavenger hunt for NMT and everyone liked it! We visited with a few people and had awesome lessons! We also started doing ministering calls with all the missionaries in the zone. So we had a really funny and good call with one set of elders. They said we were the favorite STLs, so thats good to hear!
Conference weekend was crazy. We went to our bishops house for breakfast on Saturday and we watched the first session. Then we did some planning, then went to a new members house for lunch and the 2nd session. She is so sweet! We weekly planned, then watched the last session at a returning members house! We then taugh an awesome first lesson of the restoration with a lady!
On Sunday, we went to a members house who have cute kids! They made an awesome breakfast and we watched conference on their projector. We came home for a minute to do some contacting, then went to a members house for lunch and the last session. It was so fun! We went to another members house for a lesson and they gave us a freshly baked loaf of bread. Then we went to dinner with a returning family. They have 3 little kids who are adorable! They told us they are working on going to the temple to be sealed!! It is awesome that they are working on something so important!
The weather has been a little all over the place! We had a snowstorm this week as well as a day in the 70s. I never know what its gonna be like!
Hope you all had a chance to watch General Conference! If you didn't, I invite you to listen to it! Hope you all have a fantastic week!

Easter baptisms!

Hey guys! This week was awesome!!

On Tuesday, we were on exchanges. Wednesday, Sister Linares and I had to get up and go to MLC in Eugene. On Thursday, we had several lessons and were pretty busy! Friday we had NMT and DC, then several lessons!
Saturday was awesome! Two of our friends, Sam ans Shannon were baptized! It was so cool to see them both be baptized. Sam said it was the most loved he'd ever felt. Shannon's whole family showed up and I think it was really powerful for them too. I think several of her family members are now interested!!
Sunday was crazy. We went to our Sacrament meeting. Both Shannon and Sam were confirmed! Then to the YSA sacrament meeting because a nonmember we had met was coming! She is so sweet. We went to our bishops house for an easter lunch at 2. They had some good food. Then we went to our ward mission leaders house for dinner at 5:30. It was crazy but so fun! Definitely ate too much.
I hope you all had a great Easter. It has been cool to see how much the Savior has done for us. I know that because of the Atonement and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, I will be able to return to my Heavenly Father and live with my family forever! What has the Savior done for you?
Hope you all have a fantastic week!
